A classic spot for tacos, Calexico guarantees you get a filling and flavorful taco! Other than delicious food, this venue hosts great parties and has a great overall hang out vibe, a nice outdoor patio to enjoy the nice weather at and is a fun place to meet up with friends and family. Try the Chipotle Shrimp Taco at this Adliya spot or at their food trucks in Janabiyah.

Comalito Pop Up Truck

Don’t let this pop-up truck trick you! Small but mighty and the first taco pop up truck on the island, they pump out the most flavorful and fresh tacos in Bahrain. Check them out on Instagram to find out when they pop up usually in areas around Juffair. You have to try for yourself the pulled lamb tacos when they’re available and the chicken tacos.

Cantina Kahlo

Cantin Kahlo is one of the most popular Mexican joints on the island. Known for their great space and lovely decor and unique menu that makes them stand out in authenticity. Senor Pacos

A classic spot that’s loved by many on the island for the fun vibes and classic authentic Mexican flare! They are very filling and affordable for what you get. Come out with friends as it is quite the party! Find this spot in Adliya.

Casa Mexicana

This Adliya spot makes authentic Mexican style tacos and is one of the oldest Mexican joints in Bahrain. It’s a fun spot to enjoy some food and margaritas while listening to live Cuban music. Try the Tacos Al Pastor special which comes to your table with 1KG of meat, veggies, sauce, tortilla and build your own tacos!

Chef & The Whale

This spot is fairly new in Bahrain having opened its doors in November 2019 but has been welcomed by foodies on the island with open arms. The menu is separated into four categories “GARDEN (vegetarian/vegan), SEA (seafood), LAND (meat/poultry), HEAVEN (dessert)” and everything is homemade and sourced locally. The tacos carefully follow Mexican roots like the Roasted Pumpkin taco, Beef Birria taco, and Baja Fish taco which you could also get as vegan. This spot is worth a try and even though the price of a taco is a little higher than other spots, the taste and quality you get will leave you satisfied. Find them on Budaiya Highway, close to Saar roundabout.

Franks A Lot

Dine-in here and you’ll feel like you’ve been transformed into Mexico! A great spot for seriously good eats and they’ve been open for over 10 years, proving that throughout the time people keep coming back for the food and vibe. You can get hardshell tacos or soft tacos with such good fillings as well as you can make your own tacos customized the way you like it. You won’t be disappointed when you visit this place!

Burrito Loco

This spot is great for when you want fresh Mexican food quickly or to go. Just head to the counter and build your own tacos with your favorite fillings. Find them at one of their locations in Juffair, Busaiteen, or Hamala. Also, catch them on Tuesdays when the menu is 50% off because… Taco Tuesday, duh!

El Gringo

El Gringo’s amazing tacos will keep you coming back as people are straight-up obsessed with this spot’s mighty flavors. Try their steak tacos and pair them with Mexican Street corn, that’s a LocalBH recommendation. Find them in Seef Mall and Hamala.

Margarita Mexicana

From Tacos to Churros, Margarita Mexicana got you covered. This joint is found at the Gulf Hotel and is known for its many deals and delicious food. Come out on a Friday evening for Latin Night to enjoy unlimited margaritas for 16BD or on Taco Tuesdays and try the Carne Asada taco, but you can also build your own when you order a Traditional Molcajetes which includes a selection of beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp and comes with homemade corn tortillas

This spot in Manama is perfect for when you’re craving any kind of Mexican food. They have tacos, burritos, chimichangas – the whole lot!
