Attention all Bahraini students looking to further their education and immerse themselves in a new culture! The Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain is excited to announce the 2024 Japanese Government Scholarship for Research Students.

Who is it for?

The scholarship is open to Bahraini citizens under 35 years of age who hold an undergraduate degree.

Things you need to know

The scholarship covers everything! From travel expenses to and from Japan, tuition fees, a student visa, and a monthly allowance which also covers accommodation.

The duration of the program is either one and a half or two years, depending on the program. It includes six months of Japanese language training. Also, the scholarship is provided by MEXT, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. It was created to promote international cooperation and mutual understanding.

Application deadline

The deadline for applications is May 18, 2023, so don’t hesitate to apply. The first screening will be held in June.
