A street in Muharraq has been named after the late Bahraini poet and writer Ali Abdulla Khalifa, following a royal directive from His Majesty King Hamad in recognition of his contributions to Bahrain’s literary and cultural scene. A commemorative sign was unveiled in the presence of Information Minister Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, officials from the Muharraq Municipality and Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and members of Khalifa’s family.
Officials praised his lasting literary legacy and role in enriching Bahrain’s cultural identity, noting that the tribute will help preserve his contributions for future generations.
