AirAsia X has delayed the launch of its planned Bahrain route until at least August, citing the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The Malaysian low-cost airline had originally planned to begin flights connecting Kuala Lumpur, Bahrain and London Gatwick in June. However, the company now expects the service to start in August or September, depending on market conditions.
AirAsia X said affected passengers will be offered refunds or the option to rebook their flights.Despite the delay, the airline stressed that Bahrain remains an important part of its long-term growth strategy and confirmed its commitment to establishing a hub in the Kingdom. The company said it will continue monitoring the situation and launch operations when conditions are suitable.
AirAsia X said it remains committed to its Bahrain expansion plans and will launch the route when operating conditions allow.
