More than 20,000 people registered to perform Hajj during the 2027 season within the first two and a half hours of electronic registration opening in Bahrain, according to the Supreme Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs.
Registration opened through Bahrain’s unified Hajj registration platform, haj.gov.bh, and attracted a significant response from the very beginning. Thousands of citizens submitted their applications shortly after the system went live today, highlighting strong interest in undertaking the annual pilgrimage.
The committee said applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be informed of their initial acceptance after the registration period closes. Applications will be assessed according to the approved precedence and priority criteria. Following the initial selection stage, licensed Hajj tour operators will be given a designated period to announce their packages and services.
The committee added that the official date for initially accepted applicants to select their preferred licensed Hajj operator will be announced at a later stage. The high number of applications submitted within the opening hours indicates strong demand for Hajj places among Bahrain’s citizens for the upcoming 2027 season.
