You Can Now Receive Your Mail Faster With Bahrain’s New Digital Postal Service

Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has upgraded its postal delivery service to make receiving mail faster and more convenient. The improved digital service covers express mail, registered mail, regular mail, and parcels, giving customers more flexibility when collecting their postal items. Instead of waiting up to three working days, customers can now receive their mail within one working day. Once a postal item arrives, they will receive an interactive SMS allowing them to choose their preferred collection method and time. The ministry said the upgraded service is part of its ongoing efforts to improve government services through digital transformation, simplify procedures, and provide a better customer experience.

The announcement is part of Bahrain’s wider government initiative to modernise public services. So far, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with over 800 services redesigned and improved across different government sectors.
