The American University of Bahrain Achieves Official Recognition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

With its recognition by the General Department for Certificate Equivalency in the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) is now among the acknowledged universities that Saudi students can enroll to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications.

This is evidence that the University achieved advanced stages in terms of the quality of education, compliance with international standards, and the completion of its infrastructure to become a worthy recipient of accreditation!

In this regard, Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Higher Education Council, affirmed that this recognition confirms the quality of education provided by the University to students, and enhances its scientific and academic reputation at the local, Arab, and international levels. She also added that the recognition of Bahraini universities by Arab countries highlights the distinguished reputation of the higher education sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This recognition enhances the efforts made by the Higher Education Council to support Bahraini universities.

Dr. Bradley J. Cook, AUBH President, said that the higher education sector in Bahrain is witnessing a real renaissance in light of the wise leadership’s interest in supporting education and strengthening the role of universities. He thanked the Ministry of Education, Higher Education Council, Secretariat General of the Higher Education Council, and Education and Training Quality Authority, for their tireless efforts in developing education in Bahrain and their constant perseverance in supporting the educational system to achieve the vision of placing Bahrain as a knowledge center and an oasis for education in the region. 

He also thanked all those in charge of the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Bahrain, for their cooperation and efforts.
