Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has marked Bahrain’s National Tree Week with a tree-planting campaign across its facilities in Askar and Sitra. Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali joined the company’s executives, management team and employees to plant saplings at different locations across the facilities.
As part of the campaign, the company also distributed saplings of different tree species to employees near its gates, encouraging them to plant trees at home.
The initiative supports Bahrain’s environmental efforts, including its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. It also forms part of Alba’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) plan, which includes reducing carbon emissions and creating long-term benefits for the company, its employees and the wider community.
