Bahrain Becomes the First in the World to Approve Sputnik V Booster Dose

The Ministry of Health has announced that The National Medical Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (Covid-19), Bahrain, following the approval by the Clinical Trails Committee, has authorized the use of Sputnik V as a booster shot for people vaccinated with Sputnik V. Individuals aged 18 years and above are eligible for registering for the dose, six months after receiving their second dose of the Sputnik V vaccine.

With this, Bahrain becomes the first in the world to authorize Sputnik V as a booster dose for people vaccinated with two doses of Sputnik V. This decision was taken in line with the latest developments of Covid-19 and best international practices reviewed by the Ministry of Health’s Vaccination Committee, in coordination with the Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology, and Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

البحرين تصبح الأولى في العالم في إعتمادها جرعة سبوتنيك المنشطة

أعلنت وزارة الصحة أن فريق العمل الطبي الوطني لمكافحة فيروس كورونا (كوفيد -19) بالبحرين ، بعد موافقة لجنة التجارب السريرية ، قد أجاز استخدام سبوتنيك 5 كحقنة معززة للأشخاص الذين تم تطعيمهم بسبوتنيك. الأفراد الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 18 عامًا فما فوق مؤهلين للتسجيل للحصول على الجرعة، بعد ستة أشهر من تلقي جرعتهم الثانية من لقاح Sputnik V.

وبذلك تصبح البحرين الأولى في العالم التي تصرح بـ Sputnik V كجرعة معززة للأشخاص الذين تم تطعيمهم بجرعتين من Sputnik V. وقد تم اتخاذ هذا القرار تماشياً مع آخر تطورات فيروس Covid-19 وأفضل الممارسات الدولية التي استعرضتها الوزارة مع لجنة التطعيمات الصحية بالتنسيق مع المركز القومي لبحوث الوبائيات والأحياء الدقيقة في الجمالية ووزارة الصحة الروسية.
