Bahrain Ranks 18th Globally and 3rd Regionally in Digital Government Services

Bahrain continues to strengthen its position as a leading digital nation, according to the United Nations’ 2024 E-Government Development Index. The kingdom ranked third in the Arab world, third in the Gulf, and eighteenth globally, placing it among the most advanced countries in digital government services. The report shows that Bahrain has made significant progress compared to previous years. Its improvement is based not only on the quality of online services but also on strong technical infrastructure, open data initiatives and increased citizen engagement through government platforms. These factors demonstrate the effectiveness of Bahrain’s approach to digital transformation.

The findings highlight the important role of e-government in improving government efficiency, enhancing service quality, and making services more accessible to both citizens and residents. Bahrain’s performance reflects the success of its national digital transformation strategy and its commitment to innovation. As a result, the kingdom continues to set an example for modern, technology-driven public services in the region.

Bahrain’s steady digital progress shows its commitment to building a smarter, more accessible future for everyone.
