Bahrain Tops the List of the World’s Most Calorie-Consuming Countries With 4012 Calories per Day

Are you ready for a jaw-dropping fact? Bahrain has been crowned the world’s most calorie-consuming nation, with an average daily intake of a whopping 4012 calories! This is according to research by Oxford University-based OurWorldInData, which compiled figures on calorie consumption by country from the United Nations.

The United States and Ireland are close behind, with 3868 and 3850 calories per day, respectively. And it’s not just these countries – Belgium, Turkey, Austria, Germany, Italy, Qatar, and Romania also made it to the top 10 list of calorie-guzzling nations.

But wait, there’s more! Researchers are concerned about the global rise in calorie consumption, which has been linked to the availability of fast food and packaged food. This has led to a host of related health problems, including high blood pressure, heart disease, and even Alzheimer’s disease.

So, what can we do to avoid this calorie overload? It’s simple, – cut down on fast food and opt for healthier choices!

The US FDA recommends an average daily intake of 2000 calories, while the UK Public Health Service recommends 2000 for women and 2500 for men. Let’s make healthy living our priority and kick those unhealthy eating habits to the curb!
