Government Hospitals in Bahrain Will Introduce Updated Healthcare Prices for Residents From Oct 31

Government Hospitals in Bahrain will introduce updated healthcare prices for residents covered by the National Health Insurance Programme from October 31, 2026, as part of the programme’s gradual implementation. The updated prices will apply to residents covered by the programme but will not include domestic workers, residents employed by government entities, or their dependants. Healthcare services for Bahraini citizens will remain unchanged. According to Dr. Mariam Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals, the update aims to standardise healthcare costs, improve billing and insurance claims procedures, and increase transparency between healthcare providers and insurance companies.

Insured residents will continue to receive healthcare services based on their approved insurance benefits and coverage limits. The associated costs and claims will be processed according to the applicable health insurance procedures.

Further details about healthcare prices and access to services will be shared through the official Government Hospitals channels.
