There are talks in Bahraini Parliament about significantly reducing the cost of utility bills for expats residing in Bahrain! If the proposal is passed, this could be of much importance to Bahrain’s large population of around half a million expats.
The government has previously made efforts to lower the load of utility bills on Bahraini residents, most significantly seen when they waived the bills for a few months earlier this year – lessening the strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
