HH Sh Khalid Attends the Opening Ceremony of 2023 World Combat Games in Riyadh

Guess who arrived in Saudi Arabia today? It’s none other than HH Sh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President. He’s there to attend the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Combat Games.

When he landed, he received a warm welcome from His Highness Prince Abdulla bin Fahad Al Saudi and Abdulaziz Baeshen! Both from the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC). The opening ceremony took place at the Saudi Sports Ministry’s Hall in the Prince Faisal bin Fahad Olympic Complex.

Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of GSA, and Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, BOC Secretary-General, were also in attendance. Sh Khalid couldn’t contain his excitement about being part of this historic event, as it’s the first time the World Combat Games are being held in the Arab region. He has full confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to host the tournament, given its top-notch infrastructure, organizational expertise, and stellar reputation as a host of major international sporting events.

It’s great to see sports bringing people together and witnessing such incredible moments.
