HH Sh Nasser Wins First Place at Hungary Endurance Race

HH Sh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and leader of the Royal Endurance Team, just snagged the top spot at the Hungary International Endurance Race! Covering a distance of 120 km, this win wraps up his final prep before the World Championship happening in France this September.

Even former President of Hungary, Katalin Novák, was tuned in to watch Sheikh Nasser in action.

Sheikh Nasser completed the race in an impressive 7 hours, 22 minutes, and 59 seconds, despite the tough terrain. The challenging course didn’t stand a chance against his determination, and he finished strong, proving he’s ready for whatever the World Championship throws his way.

Reflecting on the win, Sheikh Nasser said this victory is a huge boost ahead of the upcoming World Championship, where the competition will be even fiercer. He pointed out that the Hungary International Endurance Race is one of the toughest in Europe, with its grueling stages.

Sheikh Nasser also praised the stellar organization by the Hungarian Equestrian Federation and gave a shoutout to the Bahraini team members who helped make the event a success, from the judges to the veterinary and technical committees. And let’s not forget the Bahraini riders who also dominated the race!

He proudly accepted the first-place trophy from Ms. Orchidea Mihók, representing the Hungarian Equestrian Federation, and Mr. Dávid from the Hungarian Federation. Meanwhile, Royal Team riders Mohammed Abdulhamid Al Hashimi and Othman Abduljalil Al Awadhi took second and third place, making it a clean sweep for Bahrain!
