Humanitarian Support: 60 Trucks Cross Egyptian Rafah Border Today, Bringing Aid to Gaza

Sixty trucks loaded with humanitarian aid crossed from the Egyptian Rafah crossing towards the Nitzana crossing on Tuesday. In preparation for their transfer to the Gaza Strip after undergoing inspection procedures by Israeli authorities, according to a correspondent.

Since Monday, the rate of truck movement from Egypt to the Gaza Strip has increased from 20 to 60 trucks per day. Bringing the total number of trucks that have crossed the border from the Egyptian side since the start of the war on Gaza to 253.

The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that it has only received 144 trucks so far. Indicating the disruption of dozens of trucks at the Erez-Nitzana crossing due to the complex inspection procedures imposed by the Israeli side, hindering the arrival of aid to the besieged enclave.

Israel continues to impose a ban on the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip while allowing other types of aid.

It is expected that the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mustafa Madbouly, will arrive at the Rafah crossing on Tuesday. To inspect the truck movement and the available quantities of aid.

A total of 61 aid planes have arrived at El-Arish Airport, carrying around 1,500 tons of various aid for the benefit of Gaza. Provided by 19 countries and 14 international organizations, during the period from October 12 until now, and stored in 7 secured warehouses in the nearby city of El-Arish.

The director of the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai, Khaled Zaid, confirmed that 270 trucks have arrived in El-Arish since the start of the attack on Gaza. Carrying about 4,000 tons of various aid provided by more than 20 Egyptian institutions and international organizations.
