Labour Minister: More Than 14,000 Citizens Have Been Employed During the First Half of 2023

As announced by Jameel bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Market Regulatory Authority, during the Cabinet review of labor market indicators in the second quarter of 2023, 14,163 citizens have been employed between January and June in 2023 at the rate of 71% within the Economic Recovery Plan!

This amounts to 20,000 hiring operations annually which reflects the stability of the labour market and its growth towards generating more jobs in various sectors! Additionally, the number of citizens benefiting from different training programs in Bahrain has reached 7,237, which fulfills 72% of the goal of training 10,000 Bahrainis annually as part of the Economic Recovery Plan!

There has also been a 6.3% increase in the salaries of Bahrainis working in the private sector!
