Road Trip Ready! GCC Interior Ministers Given the Green Light for Unified Visa Implementation

His Highness Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani invited the Supreme Council for its Forty-Fourth Session in Doha on December 5, 2023. The meeting, chaired by His Highness, included leaders like Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood Al Said, and Shaikh Salem Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah.

The Council welcomed the efforts of the Committee of Interior Ministers in formulating the unified tourist visa and approved the agreed-upon measures. By streamlining visa processes, the GCC aims to attract a surge in tourists, fostering economic growth through increased visitor spending. This landmark decision not only facilitates easier travel within the member states but also signifies a collaborative effort to position the GCC as a unified and attractive destination! Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, played a pivotal role in steering discussions towards this tourism-centric milestone.
