5 Super Quick Vimto Recipes You Can Impress Your Family With During Ramadan

What is Ramadan without Vimto?

Well, we hope we never have to find out… It’s the go-to, the staple on every Ramadan table and we simply can’t imagine not having it around. It’s a lot of sugar, yes, so make sure you balance it out and not overdo your Vimto intake… Nonetheless, there’s a whole lot you can actually do with Vimto, so we’ve compiled a few recipes you can make on some Ramadan nights this month. Scroll to check them out:

Our fave classic Vimto

  • About a cup (250ml) of cold water
  • 2 tablespoons of Vimto syrup

That’s it! A lemon squeeze obviously makes everything that much better, so enjoy!

Classic Vimto Popsicles

  • 2 cups of yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons of Vimto syrup
  • 1 cup of raspberries (fresh with crushed ice, or frozen)
  • 1 tsp vanilla syrup

Add the raspberries to a blender, mix everything together in a bowl and then add them to a popsicle mold (or a simple ice cube tray instead)! Freeze them for four hours and enjoy them after Futoor!!

Vimto Mojito

  • Add a few mint leaves to a cup
  • Squeeze a lime
  • 2 tablespoons of Vimto syrup
  • Add some ice cubes or crushed ice
  • Add soda water

Stir well and enjoy!

Vimto Float

  • 2 tablespoons of Vimto syrup
  • Add some ice cubes or crushed ice
  • Add Sprite and stir well
  • 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream

A lot of sweet stuff here, but enjoy!

Vimto Mango Smoothie

  • 1 ½  cups fresh mango chunks with crushed ice or frozen mango
  • 3 tbsp. Vimto Cordial
  • 1 banana, cut in half
  • ¾  cup yogurt
  • ½  cup water
  • ½  cup crushed ice

Blend together the mango chunks, banana, yogurt, and water. Make sure you’ve prepared each serving glass with 3tbsp. of Vimto syrup at the bottom of each cup, and pour the blended mixture over it. Mix it all and enjoy!

BONUS: Vimto Cheesecake – for those who wanna be a little extra

For the crust:

  • 12-18 biscuits
  • 100 unsalted butter

For the Vimto Cheese filling:

  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 500 ml whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 tbsp Vimto Cordial
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • ¼ cup cold water

To garnish:

  • A cup or two of mixed berries

For the crust:

  • Crush the biscuits and mix with melted butter
  • Place crushed biscuits in a baking dish and chill in the refrigerator

For Vimto Cheese Filling:

  • Whisk plain yogurt, cream cheese, vanilla, and Vimto cordial in a bowl
  • Whip the cream in another bowl until stiff then mix slowly on the Vimto cream cheese mixture
  • Pour the Vimto mixture over the base of the cracker then leave in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours
  • Garnish Vimto cheesecake with mixed berries and serve cold
