Be Aware! Ministry of Health Warns Against Fake Calls and Messages on WhatsApp

The Ministry of Health issued a warning about some fake WhatsApp calls and messages that are impersonating them. Don’t be fooled by these scammers! Keep reading to know more.

The Ministry has confirmed that these are fraudsters and are trying to scam you out of your personal information about COVID-19 vaccination doses. They might even try to convince you to download a fake app that can access your mobile, bank accounts, and other linked accounts.

Don’t be fooled! These messages are not legit and are being sent by suspicious parties. Don’t give out any personal information or open any links sent via WhatsApp.

The Ministry of Health is on top of it and working with the Cybercrime Department of the Interior to handle this issue. They want to remind you that the only app approved in Bahrain for COVID-19 vaccination doses is the “Be Aware” app. The Ministry won’t ever contact you to update or obtain personal information because the app is designed to automatically update and maintain the highest levels of security and privacy.

Stay safe and don’t fall for these scams, y’all!
