Bahrain Launches the Emblem for the “Year of Isa Al Kabeer” After HM King Hamad’s Declaration

Following a royal order by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, 2026 has been officially named the Year of Isa Al Kabeer, in honor of the founder of Bahrain’s modern state and a key figure in its institutional development. To mark the occasion, Bahrain has launched the official emblem for the Year of Isa Al Kabeer. The emblem highlights the legacy of Isa Al Kabeer, who ruled Bahrain from 1869 to 1932, and recognizes his major role in strengthening national stability, establishing legal and civil institutions, and laying the foundations for the country’s growth and prosperity. It features an image of Isa Al Kabeer, symbolizing his lasting impact on Bahrain’s governance, national identity, and development journey. Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of the National Communication Centre, said the launch of the emblem reflects the royal directive and shows pride in Bahrain’s history and leadership. He added that the Year of Isa Al Kabeer is an important national milestone that celebrates the values and principles established by Isa Al Kabeer—values that continue to guide Bahrain’s development today under the leadership of HM King Hamad and the direction of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
