Bahrain Starts New Phase of Development for Roads Leading to Bahrain Airport

Bahrain’s Ministry of Works has started the third phase (B) of the project to develop roads leading to Bahrain International Airport. The project aims to improve traffic flow and make it easier to access the airport and nearby areas. The works include building a new U-turn bridge at the intersection of Arad Avenue and Khalifa Al Kabeer Avenue, serving traffic leaving the airport towards Arad, Hidd and other areas. Arad Avenue and Khalifa Al Kabeer Avenue will also be widened, while three traffic signals at key intersections will be removed to improve traffic flow.

The project will also include a rainwater drainage network and other infrastructure works. The Tender Board awarded the project to a joint venture between Nass Contracting Company and Nasser Hazza Al Subaie.
