Bahrain Wins the Golden Lion Award at the 19th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition

Bahrain just won the Golden Lion the top prize at the Venice Architecture Biennale for its pavilion called “Heatwave”! 🇧🇭The pavilion shows a creative way to deal with rising global temperatures. It’s inspired by old-school cooling methods and focuses on how buildings can help us stay cool and live more sustainably—especially in hot places like the Gulf. The Golden Lion is the highest award at the Biennale and is given to the best national pavilion that stands out in design and fits the theme perfectly. And guess what? This isn’t Bahrain’s first time winning. The Kingdom also won back in 2010 for its pavilion “Reclaim”!

Proud Moment!
