A YouTube star on the rise is raising $10 million for refugees across the region from a giant glass box in Dubai.

Gaming content creator AboFlah, who has more than 22 million subscribers and more than three billion views on his YouTube channel, has pledged to remain confined to Burj Park until the goal is achieved. Hassan Suleiman, better known online as AboFlah, is an accomplished vlogger who makes comedy shorts and shows about video games and popular culture.

As part of the World’s Coolest Winter tourism initiative from the UAE, he is live-streaming the challenge on his YouTube channel.

Public donations are already flooding in from generous individuals. Nearly $600,000 has already been raised from about 31,000 donations. More than 4,500 refugees and displaced people in the Middle East are expected to benefit from the money raised so far.

The campaign began on Friday and aims to provide essential food, winter clothing, blankets, mattresses, and other essential aid to prevent the suffering of about 100,000 displaced men, women, and children this winter. In association with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and Galaxy Racer, a Dubai lifestyle organization specializing in e-sports, gaming, and lifestyle, and managing AboFlah’s activities, the high-profile scheme took place.

Kudos to AboFlah for this initiative!
