Going Digital! Bahrain Expands AI Learning in Schools Through EduNet

Bahrain’s Ministry of Education said the country is rapidly advancing toward a fully integrated digital education system powered by artificial intelligence. This step aims to improve the quality of education and enhance learning outcomes across schools. The ministry noted that more than 150,000 students in public schools rely on the EduNet platform as their main learning tool, while over 16,000 teachers and administrative staff also benefit from its digital services. The statement came in response to a Shura Council question about the ministry’s plans for using AI in education, including goals, performance indicators, infrastructure readiness, and training programs. It also highlighted efforts to ensure the safe and ethical use of new technologies.

The ministry explained that it is following a gradual and comprehensive approach to integrating AI into education strategies. This supports national goals to improve education quality, strengthen digital infrastructure, and prepare students for the future digital economy and job market.
