Going Digital! You Can Now Update Your ID Card Chip at a Self-Service Kiosk in Tubli

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has officially launched a new self-service Kiosk at the Capital Municipal Council headquarters in Tubli. This move, part of a strategic partnership with the Council, aims to make essential government services more accessible to citizens and residents while pushing the Kingdom’s digital transformation forward. The new kiosk is a one-stop shop for several key tasks. Users can instantly update their ID card chip including home and work addresses and view their stored data using the built-in card reader. Additionally, it allows users to register for the “Notifications” service, which ensures you receive official government alerts directly via SMS or email, keeping you informed without the paperwork.

The iGA highlighted that these kiosks are designed to save time and effort. Instead of waiting in lines at service centers, people can now handle their transactions independently, quickly, and securely. It’s all about bringing government services closer to where people live and work. Tubli joins a growing list of sites across Bahrain, including the 24/7 center in Isa Town, Seef Mall Muharraq, and the LMRA.
