The Social Insurance Organization in Bahrain has announced that it will transfer the April salaries of insured Bahraini private-sector employees from the unemployment insurance fund to employers’ accounts on 30 April 2026. The CEO said the initiative supports the private sector, protects national employment, and helps maintain economic stability in the Kingdom. She also announced an extension of the registration period until 5 May 2026 for employers who were unable to register earlier, giving them another opportunity to benefit from the scheme.
According to the organization, more than 86% of establishments have already completed registration, while around 95% of eligible Bahraini workers in the private sector are expected to benefit. The payments will be made according to approved procedures after deducting required insurance contributions, with employers remaining responsible for paying workers’ wages.
The initiative reflects Bahrain’s continued commitment to supporting workers and strengthening the private sector.
