Update: Civil Court Hearings in Bahrain Will Be Held Online From March 8, 2026

Bahrain’s Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, in coordination with the Supreme Judicial Council, announced that starting Sunday, March 8, 2026, all civil court hearings in Bahrain will be conducted through a remote litigation service available on the ministry’s official website (moj.gov.bh). The ministry explained that the service provides a secure login system using the upgraded Electronic Key 2.0, which allows users to authenticate via biometric verification (facial recognition) without needing to enter a password.

All online court sessions will be fully supervised by the assigned judge. The system also allows parties to share and view documents electronically and present their arguments live, ensuring that all legal guarantees are upheld and the right to a fair trial is preserved according to established procedures.

This new online system makes accessing civil court services easier, faster, and more secure for everyone in Bahrain.
