All businesses in Bahrain must now offer at least one electronic payment option cash-only is no longer enough. You also need to register your commercial bank account on the Sijilat system. Personal bank accounts can’t be used for business anymore. All business payments must go through your registered commercial account. If your CR doesn’t have a business bank account linked on Sijilat, you won’t be able to renew it. You’ll get a note on the system until it’s updated. This move is meant to boost financial transparency, cut down on fraud, and help business owners better manage their transactions.
