Update: The 2026 WEC Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain Has Been Cancelled

The Bapco Energies Bahrain 8 Hours, part of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 2026 season, has been cancelled following discussions between the organisers and all involved parties due to the current situation in the Middle East. Bahrain International Circuit CEO Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said the circuit had been in close contact with WEC officials and other stakeholders in recent weeks, adding that while it was disappointing not to host one of the world’s biggest endurance racing events in 2026, the decision was supported in the best interest of everyone involved.

He also thanked the WEC community for their continued support and said Bahrain International Circuit looks forward to welcoming the championship and fans back next year.

Customers who purchased tickets or hospitality packages for the 2026 Bapco Energies Bahrain 8 Hours will receive a full refund. Refunds will be processed automatically in the coming days, and there is no need to contact Bahrain International Circuit.
