There’s good news for travellers in Bahrain, the Kingdom’s passport has climbed the global ranks, securing the 51st position in the latest Henley Passport Index, reflecting steady progress in international mobility. According to the 2026 report, Bahraini passport holders now enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to around 87 destinations worldwide, a key factor that determines ranking on the index. This places Bahrain in a stronger position globally and highlights the country’s growing network of international travel agreements.
The Henley Passport Index is widely regarded as one of the most authoritative global rankings, measuring how powerful a passport is based on the number of destinations its holders can access without needing a prior visa! Bahrain’s ranking jumped from 58 in 2025 to 51 in 2026!
