Hawra Ali Yousif, an 18-year-old Bahraini student has published her own book. If this isn’t groundbreaking in itself, but when you consider that Hawra is a special needs student and has mobility issues, it becomes a lot more impressive.
The 18-year-old Bahraini dedicated her book, Khawater (Thoughts), to her teacher Suad Alfahad – head of the media center at Ghazi Al Gosaibi Secondary School for Girls in Hamad Town. Hawra credits her for helping nourish and inspire her writing skills.
Hawra says that writing for her wasn’t just an activity or a profession, that it was a form of self-healing and it was an opportunity for her to showcase her creativity.
Her book is a sort of farewell to the school and her teachers. A thank you to the faculty members for underscoring the important role they played in shaping her life.
A recipient of many awards, we’re sure that her future endeavours will be just as succesful.

كتاب خاص بروح بحرينية خالصة
حوراء علي يوسف ، طالبة بحرينية تبلغ من العمر 18 عامًا ، نشرت كتابها الخاص. إذا لم يكن هذا الأمر رائدًا نوعا ما، ولكن عندما تفكر في حوراء فهي طالبة من ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة ولديها مشكلات في التحرك، فإنها تصبح أكثر إثارة للإعجاب وحط الأنظار.
أهدت الشابة البحرينية البالغة من العمر 18 عامًا كتابها “خواطر” لمعلمتها سعاد الفهد – مديرة المركز الإعلامي في مدرسة غازي القصيبي الثانوية للبنات في مدينة حمد. ينسب لها الفضل في مساعدة حوراء وإلهامها بمهارات الكتابة.
تقول حوراء إن الكتابة لم تكن مجرد نشاط أو مهنة ، بل كانت شكلاً من أشكال الشفاء الذاتي وكانت فرصة لها لعرض إبداعاتها.
كتابها هو نوع من الوداع للمدرسة ومعلميها. شكرت فيه أعضاء هيئة التدريس لتأكيدها على الدور المهم الذي لعبوه في تشكيل حياتها.
حصلت على العديد من الجوائز، نحن على يقين من أن مساعيها المستقبلية ستكون بنفس القدر من النجاح.
