Bahrain has introduced a new platinum residence permit for expats living in the Kingdom for at least 15 years! His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict (47) of 2023 granting an entry visa and a platinum residence permit to residents.
The residents should have lived in Bahrain for at least 15 years, have good conduct, and have never been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving breach of honor or trust, even if they have been rehabilitated. The residents should also have a basic salary is BHD 4,000 or more, during the last five years living in Bahrain.
HRH Prince Salman also issued an Edict to designate areas where residents can now own real estate properties!
