Bahrain Suspends Economic Relations with Israel and Confirms Departure of Israeli Ambassador

Bahrain’s parliament confirms that the Israeli Ambassador in Bahrain has left the country. Bahrain has decided to bring back its Bahraini Ambassador from Israel and has suspended economic relations with Israel. Bahrain’s Parliament says this move reaffirms Bahrain’s strong historical support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, as repeatedly stated by His Majesty the King in various conferences and events.

The Council emphasizes that the ongoing war, military operations, and continuous Israeli escalation, all in violation of international humanitarian law, compel us to call for further actions and measures to protect the lives of innocent civilians in Gaza and all Palestinian territories.

Furthermore, the President of the Council of Representatives expresses his pride and admiration for the unwavering commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Palestinian cause. His Majesty’s firm stance and unyielding support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international resolutions.
