Bahraini Film ‘Ya Mal’ Producers Honored by HRH Prince Saud in Al Ahsa for Their Big Win!

HRH Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Al-Ahsa Governor, honored the crew of the Bahraini film, “Ya Mal”, during the closing ceremony of the second edition of the Short Film Competition, “My Heritage”, organized by the Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) in cooperation with the Saudi Heritage Commission (SHC) at the King Faisal University, as part of ARCWH’s “Arab Youth for Heritage” initiative.

Shaikh Ibrahim bin Humood Al Khalifa, Deputy ARC-WH Director, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ohali, King Faisal University President, and Mohammed Ali Al-Matrudi, SHC Al-Ahsa Office Director, attended the ceremony.

Al-Ahsa Governor honored the winning films, including “Ya Mal” from Bahrain, and other films from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, and Yemen.

Directed by Yousif Ahmed, and filmed by Mohammed Othman and Yousif Mubarak, “Ya Mal” sheds light on the “Pearling Path” in the kingdom, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It highlights Bahrain’s rich cultural and heritage features.

Now, let’s talk about the films that stole the show. The Al-Ahsa Governor honored the winning films, and you won’t believe the lineup! Bahrain’s “Ya Mal” took the spotlight, but there were also awesome films from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, and Yemen.

Directed by the talented Yousif Ahmed and filmed by the dynamic duo Mohammed Othman and Yousif Mubarak, “Ya Mal” takes us on a journey through the mesmerizing “Pearling Path” in the kingdom. This UNESCO World Heritage site showcases Bahrain’s vibrant culture and rich heritage.
