Tributes flow in for the Late Adnan Ayoub
Adnan Ayoub, the Bahrain National Team player and Coach passed away last week after a heroic battle with a serious illness. Since then tributes and condolences have been flowing in from around the world, recognising the part Coach Adnan played in furthering the sport.
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa had sent a cable of condolences to the family of Adnan. HM the King lauded contributions of late Adnan Ayoub in serving the nation, pointing out his distinguished achievements since the sixties.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino also sent his condolences to the family of Coach Adnan. In a letter addressed to Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Chairman Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, he extended his heartfelt condolences, expressing his deep sadness.
Infantino paid homage to late Adnan Ayoub who featured in the national team in the 1966 Arab Cup and the maiden 1970 Gulf Cup, in addition to his marked career as player in Al Ahli Club.
Adnan Ayoub, both as a player and coach has been instrumental in shaping the football community in Bahrain. He will be missed.

الفيفا تكرم بطل بحريني أسطورة
توفي عدنان أيوب لاعب ومدرب منتخب البحرين الأسبوع الماضي بعد معركة طويلة مع مرض خطير. من وقته، تتدفق التحيات والتعازي من جميع أنحاء العالم، تقديرًا للدور الذي لعبه المدرب عدنان في تعزيز هذه الرياضة.
وبدوره أرسل جلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة برقية تعزية إلى أسرة عدنان. وأشاد جلالة الملك بإسهامات الراحل عدنان أيوب في خدمة الوطن، مشيرا إلى إنجازاته المتميزة منذ الستينيات.
كما أرسل رئيس الفيفا جياني إنفانتينو تعازيه لأسرة المدرب عدنان. وفي رسالة وجهها إلى الشيخ علي بن خليفة بن أحمد آل خليفة رئيس الاتحاد البحريني لكرة القدم، قدم تعازيه الحارة معربا عن حزنه العميق.
أشاد إنفانتينو بالراحل عدنان أيوب الذي ظهر في المنتخب الوطني في كأس العرب 1966 وكأس الخليج 1970، بالإضافة إلى مسيرته المميزة كلاعب في النادي الأهلي.
عدنان أيوب كان له دور فعال، كلاعب ومدرب ، في تشكيل مجتمع كرة القدم في البحرين. راح نشتاق له.
