Game On! Bahrain’s Football Coach Juan Pizzi Picks 33 Players for Upcoming International Matches

Bahrain’s national team coach, Juan Antonio Pizzi, has just dropped the names of 33 players who will be playing in the upcoming international friendly matches. The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) made the big announcement, revealing that the team will be facing off against Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines’ national team.

The team is lacing up their boots tonight, hitting the training ground to get in tip-top shape for the matches. The squad is a blend of local heroes and some foreign-based talents! Players from top Bahraini clubs like Al Khaldiya, Riffa, Muharraq, Manama, Al Ahli, Isa Town, Al Shabab, Al Najma, and East Riffa have made the cut.

Keep an eye out for the four foreign-based stars making their comeback: Ali Madan from the UAE’s Ajman Club, Mohammed Marhoon from Kuwait SC, Abdulla Yusuf from FK Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, and Moses Atede from Malaysia’s Kedah Darul Aman FC. There are some real gems in the roster, including Ahmed Bughammar, Mohammed Adel, Mohammed Al Hardan, Sayed Dhiya Saeed, and Mahdi Humaidan from Al Khaldiya. Riffa’s got their own standout players like Hussain Al Ekri, Hazza Ali, Mohammed Abdulqayoom, Jassim Al Shaikh, Komail Al Aswad, Ali Hassan Saeed, and Abdulaziz Khaled. Muharraq’s talents are also in the mix, with Salem Omar, Sayed Mohammed Jaafar, Amine Hasan, Hamza Al Juban, Waleed Al Hayyam, Abdulla Al Khalasi, Mubarak Mohammed, and Ahmed Al Sherooqi.

But wait, there’s more! Ebrahim Al Khattal from Manama, Ebrahim Luthfallah, and Abdulla Al Hashash from Al Ahli, Hussain Abdulkareem from Isa Town, Hamad Al Doseri and Salem Hussain from Al Shabab, Mohammed Abdulwahab and Ebrahim Al Wali from Al Najma, and Jassim Khelaif from East Riffa are also part of the squad.

Bahrain is gearing up for the continental qualification campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in November. And let’s not forget, they’ll be taking on the AFC Asian Cup in Doha come January next year.
