South Africa’s Dylan Frittelli claimed his third DP World Tour title at the Bahrain Championship presented by Bapco Energies, overcoming a two-shot deficit in the final round. Frittelli, who battled doubts about continuing his career, demonstrated mental toughness and strategic play to finish two strokes ahead of Zander Lombard and Jesper Svensson.
In a closing round marked by back-to-back birdies and a crucial long putt, Frittelli secured his first worldwide victory since 2019. The trophy was presented by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain. Frittelli expressed gratitude for the country and the tournament, calling it a “magical week.”
The win not only marks a significant comeback for Frittelli but also secures his PGA Tour card, allowing him to plan a structured tournament schedule. In the presence of King Hamad, Frittelli’s triumph adds a special dimension to his remarkable victory at the Bahrain Championship.
