Hey, guess what? The King of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, just dropped a Royal Decree to preserve the historical and cultural vibe of Bahrain’s buildings and cities. And who’s leading the charge? None other than His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander.
Recently, the Crown Prince paid a visit to Muharraq Governorate, and boy, did he have big plans. They launched a whole development plan for Muharraq City, all while keeping the historical and cultural identity intact.
Muharraq is no ordinary city, folks. It’s known as the “Mother of Cities,” and it’s bursting with heritage and history. During the visit, the Crown Prince, along with some other fancy folks like His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, checked out some cool places like Isa Town Palace and the Pearl Path.
The development plan for Muharraq City revolves around five pillars. They’re all about preserving the city’s historical identity, hooking up Bahraini families with dream homes, protecting those heritage buildings, adding more green spaces, and sprucing up the infrastructure and public facilities.
Muharraq City is about to get a major revamp!
