The Deputy King of Bahrain, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, had a phone call with the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas. During the call, Prince Salman conveyed greetings from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to President Abbas.
The Deputy King stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights as it contributes to security and peace. He also emphasized the need to provide essential humanitarian aid, such as food, water, electricity, and medical assistance, to the Gaza Strip while ensuring the protection of civilians according to international humanitarian laws.
Prince Salman reaffirmed Bahrain’s strong stance, underscoring the significance of a fair resolution to the Palestinian issue through comprehensive peace efforts. He emphasized the importance of a two-state solution, in line with the Arab Peace Initiative, as the way forward. Prince Salman highlighted that peace and adherence to the initiative are crucial in securing the rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
