Former Morgan State Bear DeWayne Jackson is headed to Muharraq for the 2021-2022 season of the Premier League. The 30-year-old forward most recently played with Ahly Tripoli in the Libyan D1 League, where he won both the league title and the cup.
Before that, he played in the UAE, with Al Sharjah. During that season, Jackson recorded 11 PPG, 3 RPG, and 1.7 APG. He has also played in Bulgaria, Lebanon, and Kosovo.
With his style of play, he has been compared to Kevin Durant. Scouts have said that Jackson is one of the strongest, fastest, and best ball-handling wings in Europe. He is virtually unguardable one on one, and can consistently score from the three-point line. In short, the level of basketball in Bahrain is about to go way up!
