The department explained in a statement today that the low-pressure system will cause rainfall during the day, and thunderstorms may form over the neighboring areas accompanied by strong gusts of wind, and the Kingdom may be affected by these gusts, especially the marine areas.
The Meteorological Department pointed out that this period of the year is considered a transitional phase from summer to winter, where the Arabian Peninsula witnesses unstable weather conditions at intervals due to the passage of cold air masses in the upper atmosphere, which leads to rainfall accompanied by lightning and thunder sometimes.
