In social media, some projects stand out not just for their creativity but for the soul they bring to the digital landscape. One such project is #100 Bahrain Stories, an independent initiative that kicked off in January 2016. Dreamed up by Tanzeel Jabbar-Khadir, this project set out to capture the rich, diverse narratives of 100 individuals.
Tanzeel’s vision was simple yet profound: to highlight the unique stories of everyday people. Showcasing the shared humanity that binds us all. Through portraits and personal tales, #100 Bahrain Stories became a beautiful celebration of the people of Bahrain! Recognizing the value in every individual’s journey.
This book is not just a collection of stories—it’s a testament to community spirit. All profits from the sales have been donated to local charities like The Saturday Biryani Party and Rotaract Bahrain. The #100 Bahrain Stories book can be found at Jashanmal Bookstores across Bahrain and Neo Books & Coffee in Riffa. For those beyond Bahrain’s shores, copies can be ordered by emailing [email protected].
Tanzeel Jabbar-Khadir’s project is more than just a book; it’s a heartfelt journey through the lives of Bahrain’s people, reminding us all of the power of storytelling and the beauty of our shared experiences.
