Bahraini singer Reem Baqeri, a 23-year-old singer-songwriter, is set to take the stage in New York this month with two exciting live performances. She will perform at The Cutting Room on 15 February and at The Tiny Stage on 22 February, where she plans to share a selection of her soon-to-be-released music with fans. Born and raised in Bahrain, Reem grew up immersed in classical music before exploring musical theatre. Her sound leans towards ballad and soul, with story-driven, dramatic lyrics. One audience member described her live performances as “an emotional roller coaster, you never know what you’re gonna feel, but you’ll feel deeply.” Reem recently released her debut single, “Read,” now available on all major streaming platforms, marking an important milestone as she prepares to release her first official album. Every element of her music is intentional: she writes all her lyrics, composes her melodies and piano, and produces her tracks independently before handing them to a mixing engineer, ensuring her artistic vision remains intact.
