Shella, or Aush, is a national Iranian stew. It’s super healthy and filling, suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
If you’ve ever eaten at Koshary Factory, you may have seen Shelly’z, a restaurant in Bahrain that’s specialty is exclusively Shella.
The stew is made out of lots of vegetables and herbs like Spinach, Parsley, Dill, Coriander and cooked with red lentils, chickpeas, green mung beans, Iranian vermicelli flat noodles, onions, and topped up with sour cream, fried onions, and spicy green chili sauce.
We recommend this on days you want to eat something super nutritious and comforting and that’ll fill you up. They come in three sizes and are very affordable.
Prices for each size: Mini 0.750 fils, Small 1.1 BD and Large 1.9 BD and Beef Mini 0.900 fils, Beef Small 1.4 BD, and Beef Large 2.4 BD.
