The Water Under Our Bridge
The British School of Bahrain returns this year with BRITMUN VIII to bring to surface underlying issues that need to be addressed!
The event is an academic simulation of the United Nations, in which students are assigned the roles of diplomats who deliberate and debate on global issues, using the policies and viewpoints of their assigned country/personality. The conference is student-led and welcomes pupils from all regions of the Kingdom!
Why should students take part in this conference?
BRITMUN enlightens students on international affairs, the missions undertaken by the United Nations and pressing global issues of grave importance! Students will gain confidence in their debating dexterity, enrich their public speaking and elocution skill set. They also have the opportunity to exhibit their leadership qualities.
What is the theme this year?
The theme for this year’s conference is “The Water Under Our Bridge”. This aims to bring to our attention the detrimental effects of under-representation to the normalization of societal concerns that need to be unearthed and brought to surface, from the depths of the water!
The BRITMUN VIII conference will be held on two consecutive days: Friday, 17th March and Saturday, 18th March at BSB’s premises. If you would like to learn more about the event, check it out on Instagram
