On August 3, Bahrain experienced an unprecedented surge in electricity consumption, reaching a record high of 3798 megawatts (MW). The demand for electricity peaked yesterday, making it the highest-ever recorded electricity consumption rate in the country’s history!
The highest consumption rate previously recorded was 3708 MW on August 18, 2022 at 1:56 pm.
As the world grapples with climate change and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such surges in electricity consumption also highlight the importance of energy conservation and sustainable practices. The Electricity and Water Authority urged us all to adopt practices that promote energy and water conservation in order to help preserve our national resources and ensure the sustainability of its services!
Let’s fight the climate battle together!
