During the FIRST Global Challenge 2019 in Dubai this week, Team Bahrain announced its goal to work with Artificial Intelligence in order to build Artificial Reefs in the Arabian Gulf.

Using robots is part of Team Bahrain’s idea for “Ocean Opportunities” in helping marine life and natural growth of species.

Team Bahrain’s revolutionary plan to rebuild underwater ecosystems is an ambitious plan to be included in Bahrain’s plan as a nation to be involved in the field of robotics and AI.

The construction of new habitats for marine life helps to counteract the destroyed ones due to rising ocean temperatures and pollution.

The Dubai Future Foundation organized the First Global Challenge for the 3rd time and gives out the opportunity for countries to get together to discuss innovative solutions to global challenges present and future. This year the theme was focused on the protection of the natural environment and the oceans.

The winners of FIRST competition were 5 Syrian refugee teenagers from Team HOPE who’s idea is to build robots that are able to help clean up pollution in the world’s oceans.
