Following reports of rising prices on some goods, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce carried out field inspections at various shops and sales outlets across Bahrain to check prices, product availability, and adherence to regulations. The inspections also aimed to identify any unjustified price increases or violations of the law. The campaign covered 102 shops in several areas, including Manama, Al Hadd, Diyar Al Muharraq, East Riffa, and Isa Town. During the inspections, one shop was found to have raised the prices of handheld lamps without justification. The shop was administratively closed, and appropriate action was taken against it. The ministry encouraged consumers to report any concerns or complaints about price hikes during the current period. Reports can be made via the ministry’s hotline at 80001700, through the “Tawasul” system, by email at [email protected], or via any other official communication channel.
