The Northern Municipal Council has officially approved a new proposal by Third District representative Mohammed Saad Al-Dosari to place electronic machines in public areas for renewing driver’s licenses. Al-Dosari explained that the idea aims to make the service much easier and more accessible for everyone. With these machines, residents will be able to renew their driver’s licenses at any time without needing to visit government offices. This step is expected to save people time and effort while reducing long queues and unnecessary trips. He added that the proposal also supports improving the quality of government services and strengthening Bahrain’s digital infrastructure. The move aligns with the Kingdom’s national development goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, helping push Bahrain further toward a smarter, more efficient future. The community welcomes this decision as a promising step toward more convenient and modern public services across the country.
